Worship Services
SUNDAY
Sunday School 9:30 A.M.
Classes are offered as follows:
- Children (these classes are divided
by ages)
- Middle School
- High School
- Adult Classes
- Because it is so important for Christians to understand and
apply the Bible, the leaders of Shannon Forest Church have worked
hard to develop the best possible Christian education program
for the adults of our church. We have called this program the
Shannon Forest Academy of Discipleship. In the coming years, we
are committed to offering a systematic and comprehensive plan
to study biblical truth as it relates to our beliefs (theology),
our family life, our ministry, our world view and philosophy,
and our study of God's Word. Classes are offered Sunday mornings
and Wednesday nights.
Classes for the fall are:
- Love Life Seminar - This is twelve lessons
on marriage based upon the book, Love Life for Every Married
Couple, by Ed Wheat and adapted from the weekend conference.
- The Truth Project - This is a DVD based curriculum
of 12 lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This study is the starting
point for looking a life from a biblical perspective. We will
be doing The Truth Project on Wednesday nights, also.
- The Perfect Fit - This class is about discovering
the joy of serving within that perfect fit. We draw from several
resourced (including the Network class developed by WillowCreek),
and will combine teaching, discussion, and the use of several
evaluation tools to help you better understand the perfect ways
God has gifted and equipped you to uniquely impact your world.
Fellowship Time - 10:25 AM
Between Sunday school and worship service adults can meet
in the church coffee room and have refreshments and fellowship in
the coffee room. This is a great time to mingle and talk with folks
that sit on the
other
side of the church!
Kid's Church - 10:45
AM
4 year olds through first grade attend kid's church where they have singing and
age appropriate Bible studies.
Worship Service - 10:45 AM
One inescapable fact of life is that we were created to worship.
This can be seen most clearly in our bent toward what
we might call, "praise." C.S.
Lewis understood this when he wrote of how we praise everything from
nature's beauty, foods, hobbies and spouses to books and scholars.
Still, there
is no lovelier praise than the one that rises up in the
heart for what is most praiseworthy.
At Shannon Forest, we gather together on Sunday morning to do just that--offer
God our highest praise in a contemporary setting.
Please visit us, we would
love to have you!
