Adult Ministries
Let's Get Acquainted!
Covenant Groups (Fellowship Groups)
Small groups of families meet each week, some in homes, some at
the church, for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The small
group structure is the heart of our church enabling people to
minister to each other in a way not possible at other regular
church meetings.
Women's Ministry (Women in the Church)
All women who attend Shannon Forest are technically part of
the WIC. It's purpose is to promote the ministry of the
church through
fellowship functions as well
as to help meet the needs of the body by organizing and serving meals
to families whose loved ones have died. WIC also has working
socials
help to prepare for
Vacation Bible School. It's not all work, though. The women enjoyed a
weekend retreats each year.
Wednesday Women's Bible Study
6:30 pm the women meet for the study "Random Characters of
the Bible." We will about a different lesser-known person each
week. There is no book to study or homework. This is a great place
for new ladies and visitors. Child care is provided.
Thursday Morning Bible Study (TMBS)
During the school year, women from the Greenville
area meet each Thursday morning at 9:30 for a time of Bible
study and small group fellowship.
Many women have been introduced to the Lord through this ministry. The
current study is Joshua: Promised Land Living. This study
goes through December 13th. Child care is provided.
"Evening Edition"
This Bible study presents an opportunity for women to meet
each Thursday evening at 7pm during the school year. The current
study is Believing God, a ten lesson interactive study that
includes personal, daily assignments from the study book, video-centered
group sessions by Beth Moore, and discussing homework the next
week.
